What is masters boxing?
Masters Boxing is an Amateur division sanctioned by USA Boxing for those ages 35 and older.

How can I compete in the Masters Division?
You first must be 35 year of age or older. You must register with USA Boxing as a master boxer. You must also have a yearly physical with your Doctor clearing you as fit to box. For those ages 45 and older, you must also have an stress test, also known as an excersise EKG every 5 years. Once that is complete, you send your paperwork to your local boxing commission that in return, sends you a yellow passbook and now you are ready to compete.

What gear is provided and what gear do I need to bring to the tournament?
The 16oz TITLE competition gloves will be provided by the tournament.
You are responsible for all other competition equipment including….
16oz USA Boxing approved Masters headgear. Currently there are only 2 companies that sell master headgear Title and Ringside. The USA Boxing approved label will have an M in the middle, that stands for masters.
Top and trunks, the trunks waisteline must be a different color than your top.
Growing protector
Mouthpeice (your mouthpeice can not have any red on it).
Handwraps and tape or Gauze and tape
Boxing shoes

Do not worry if you forget something, we will have plenty of gear for sale at the event. Our goal is to make the tournament process as stress free as possible. We are here to help.

I will not have a coach with me to corner me, what do I do?
We will have certified coaches at the tournament ready to help and corner you. We understand that not everyone can have their coach or trainer trave with them so we are here to help. Let us know ahead of time so we can assign a coach.

How do we get matched up for the tournament?
You are matched up by age, weight and experience.
USA Boxing allows ages to be with in 10 years up or down, however, we try to keep it with in a 5 year difference.
USA Boxing has weight classes that allow a diffence in weight of 8lbs, 10lbs and 15lbs depending on your weight class. Our goal is to keep each match with in 5lbs. The list of weight classes will be posted bellow.
USA Boxing uses an Novice and Open class. 0 to 10 bouts being novice and 11 or more bouts being Open. Again, our goal is to keep the match ups as close as possible. Novice, especially those with no competition experience, we try to match with in 0 to 3 bouts.

What if I don’t get a match or I have to drop out of the tournament, what is the refund policy?
We understand that things happen and changes sometimes have to be made. With that said, If you do not get a match you will be refunded 100% of your entry fee with out question. If for what ever reason you have to drop out. A full refund will be given up until April 15th, 2020. No refunds will be given to drop outs after April 15th, 2020.
